New Study Highlights the Role of International Hunting in Conservation and Sustainability

A recently published study commissioned by the German Delegation of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) delivers critical insights into the impact of international hunting on conservation and sustainability efforts.

Authored by Prof. Dr. Dr. Sven A. Herzog, the study explores the ecological, economic, and social benefits of responsible hunting, underlining its role in species conservation, habitat protection, and supporting local communities.

This landmark study, originally available in German, is now accessible to an international audience in its English version with a new foreword by Prof. Adam Hart. It provides valuable evidence on how hunting, when regulated and sustainably managed, contributes to global biodiversity goals.

For those interested in learning more about the findings, the full study is now available for download here.
